Anglican/Episcopal Studies

We have developed a special program for Anglican/Episcopal students leading to the Degree, Bachelor of Divinity. We have use courses from Laud Hall Anglican Studies Courses  and Agape Bible Institute.   Admission to the program is restricted to mature students, 30 years of age unless with special permission of faculty, and as well some experience as a church member.    60 credit hours of work are required. Students are required to take courses from each of the Departments listed here.  Note that not all courses are available at all times, due to faculty obligations.

Department of Scripture

TH 406 - The Apocrypha (Survey Course of the Old Testament Apocrypha) 6 credit hours

TH 620 - Scripture Canonicity (How we got our Bible) 6 credit hours.

OT 301 - Introduction to the Old Testament (Survey Course) 6 credit hours.

NT 303 - New Testament Survey (Overview of the NT) 12 credit hours

Department of Theological Studies

TH 301 - Study in the Anglican Faith - Part One - Survey of Anglican Theology.  6 credit hours

TH 302 - Study in the Anglican Faith -Part Two - Further work in Anglican Theology - 6 credit hours

TH 525 - Advanced Studies in Anglican Theology - Utilization of Text by C. B. Moss on the Christian Faith. A series of papers on Anglican Issues of Significance. 12 credit hours.  

TH 714 - Spirituality (Stages of Spiritual Growth) 3 credit hours

TH 599 - Independent Study of Selected Topic (in consultation with faculty) - 6 credit hours. Designed for the student who wishes to do independent work in a selected area for credit.

 Department of Church History

HIST 405 - Anglican Church History (Early Church to Modern Anglican times). 12 credit hours.

HIST 504 - The Didache. A study on this key early church document. 3 credit hours.

HIST 505 - Apostolic Fathers - a reading course. Writings of those who knew the Apostles. 6 credit hours.

HIST 599 - Independent Study of Selected Historical Topic (in consultation with faculty) 6 credit hours.

Department of Pastoral Psychology and Ministry (Through Agape Bible Institute)

MIN 421 - Pastoral Theology (The role of a Minister, qualities and the Call to Ministry) 6 credit hours.

MIN 424 - Pastoral Ministry (Personal issues, visiting homes and hospital work) 12 credit hours.

MIN 426 - Pastoral Counseling (Introduction to counseling role of the Minister) - 12 credit hours.

MIN 428 - Counseling Case Work (Selection of cases for technique studies) - 6 credit hours

PS 630 - Christian Counseling. (An in-depth study of counseling techniques) - 18 credit hours

PS 714 - Pastoral Counseling Techniques. (Study of various issues in counseling) - 6 credit hours

Department of Liturgical  Studies

Tuition and Fees

Seminary  - Registration, administration, graduation including diploma and transcript  - Basic Fee  - $600.00 Fees may be paid at once with application, or installment plans. (Often students send payments with lessons completed.)

On receipt of application a Faculty Advisor will be assigned to a student, to monitor their progress and act in an advisory capacity.  We recommending applications be initiated by Email to - Theology@aol.com
